“East Texas Red,” Woody Guthrie’s song about 2 hoboes’ revenge against a nasty railroad bull ends with the hobos at a campfire confronting Red. “A gun wheeled out of an overcoat and played that old one, two. Red was dead when the other two men sat down to eat their stew.”
It’s wonderful when commenters can add to the “history”. I love the involvement of everyone. It makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. That’s why I save WD for last so I can linger, enjoy, experience and sometimes participate. You all make the most interactive comic I know. Please keep it up!
