My brother went rabbit hunting with our beagle Thunder. When he returned home, he said never again because Thunder was stupid. My dad asked, “what happened?” My brother explained that when they came to a briar patch that Thunder wouldn’t enter until my brother went first. My dad laughed and said, “Thunder seems smart to me”.
Certified A1 plus Guard dog Over his food. I was once given a German Shepherd that had failed police training twice. Mean mean junk yard dog. They would not give me any commands it was taught. I was afraid my kids would accidently say a wrong word and set the beast off. Two years and we loved him but he did not like anyone but me touching him. He loved riding in the back of my truck. Kids fed him over the fence/through it. When he fathered three beautiful pups, I gave him to a farmer friend of mine who wanted him. Kept one pup for the kids. Back in the mid 1980’s. Buddy L had him for about 7 years before he passed on. Buddy said he was the very best dog he ever had. Still on rough side but running free and happy. Don’t fence me in.
My doggie is a great cat dog. But, they’re faster than him and can get out of the backyard with ease. He cornered a hare once. The little guy didn’t stand a change. And those little possums, up from the river were in dire danger, too. But, I had to let Ellie in the house to stop all the barking. This is something Ellie looks forward to. A nice sheated recliner and snacks in bed.

Kewpie is as chill as Uncle Ted. And probably just as satisfied with his lot in life. His personalized coat is a nice touch too.

It’s nice to see Kewpie! Hi, Kewpie! Maybe Uncle Ted had a beagle.

He’s conserving his energy for the squirrels, fortunately there’s none in the neighborhood.

My cats aren’t afraid of no dust bunnies. Every time they get nervous or scared they dive under the bed protecting us from those fearsome dust bunnies

A recent issue of Consumer Reports had a cover story about just how dangerous dust is.
