How ironic!
She is picking up litter.
I am VERY grateful to my current cat (a black-and-white) who has never failed to use her litter box as appropriate since the day I got her, the day after spaying surgery; (a rescue). Some Cats I have had in the past were not so thoughtful.
This might explain why the cat lady is childless.
If your cat litter is like cement (necessary to keep on feet), it is no wonder your cat “goes” elsewhere.
If your cat doesn’t like where the box is located, it will go elsewhere. They prefer to go in the same room where you go.
