Yeah, there always seems to one who brings up those events we don’t find amusing at all.

The ducks weren’t all that amused either.

Reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin was laughing at a TV show in which people sent in home videos of their relatives being clumsy and careless. He said that modern technology allows you to film your relatives at all times and then embarrass them publicly for money. Hobbes commented, “Who would have thought Big Brother would go commercial?”.

Sometimes proof of Truth Hurts ;-)

That’s okay. It’s her passive way of expressing payback!

I never have a camera handy when things like that happen.

Mr. Dear looks grumpy on and off screen

Had a doxie who tried to catch some ducks. Pond scum is nowhere near as solid as it looks.

Just makes you wanna fast-forward 50 years or so…

Both Mr. Dear and Fred should lighten up a bit. This is definitely “one of those things you will laugh about later.”

Fred and Mr Dear are certainly having a bad week.

It’s easy to laugh when you were the one holding the camera.

As an aside to those who are creating or have created home movies, please, please, please, document the who, when and where these family memory films were made! Those of us who have boxes of our parents & elder family members film & slides will thank you when we digitize them. And if your handwriting looks like a doctors Rx script, type it out.

My father started to take Kodachrome slides in 1954, and they still retain their vivid colours. Others like Agfachrome have turned weird colours or faded away.
