I let my auto insurance company track my driving via my cell phone. Every time I complete 50 trips with no bad driving I get a discount. My first 50 trips saved me over $100 and I’m looking forward to my next 50.
Last year my wife and I attended a wedding in Dubai and then spent the next week driving around the UAE. We had a rental car that whenever you went one kph over the speed limit, it would set off a loud, annoying buzzing. You’d get up in the mountains where there is hardly any traffic on a modern highway and the speed limit would go from 110 to 120. Hit 121 and BZZZ.
It’s my understanding that the police aren’t looking to ticket drivers who exceed the limit by a few MPH. They are trained to ticket aggressive drivers and drivers who exceed the limit by at least 10MPH. A cop friend of mine explained that to me.

That’s not a GPS, that’s a navigation system. GPS is a network of satellites which know nothing at all about where you are or what you’re doing.
