I risked going to my ophthalmologist during Covid years, but not an optical shop (and handling frames others had touched) until I think just last year (then I needed three changes!).
It seems that the artists I know have moved towards frames in bold red, butterscotch, and grey(?). Thick and often on the large side. I’ve wondered if they are actually wearing contact lens and have flat glass in the frames. Fashion statements. I’ve apologized for staring.
Okay, I had to look up who “Serpico” was. Man…I am always learning something new….a new kinda food or recipe, new words, references. Thanks for expanding my mind, Amanda. :)

I tried contacts, briefly, but I hated having to take care of something like that. Glasses are just more convenient for me.

Makes sense to me. Telling the husband what you need to get out of your system.
