I dog-sat an Australian shepherd once. The owner had bought him one of those “indestructible” Kong toys- he made short work of it.
If my dog gets a polyester fiber stuffed toy, he won’t be satisfied till he’s got every bit of stuffing pulled out and spread all over the floor.
The only way a dog is “nice” to a stuffed toy is after that get the squeaker out of it.
My wife and I had a dog like this which tore up every toy we gave him. After scolding him about it we decided the toy was his to play with as he saw fit and we stopped scolding. We now cherish those memories.
