“A part that needs replaced”. There’s that Western PA / Eastern OH dialect again, as in “the car needs washed”.

Decades ago, my wife and I started off on a car trip to the beach. A couple hours later, the car broke down. We spent the weekend waiting (in a Motel 6) for the replacement part to arrive on Monday.

It always seems to happen when you make plans or just getting up in the morning.

We are living that situation now. Fortunately the part was available in this country and is arriving today.

Still waiting on a part for the fridge I ordered over three months ago. (Its a water tube, the fridge still works so not too big an issue.) Parts for the microwave I had to order, as well as one part for the washer. Both parts arrived the following day ordered via Amazon. Everything is back in working order other than I still cant get a glass of cold water from the fridge door.

And when the part arrives he’ll discover that they sent the wrong one.

Why don’t these guys just keep 4 million parts in stock, right?

I realize you’re angry, Norm, but you didn’t have to call him an SOB.

The part is only $50, the service call is $150, the labor to install the part is $375 and the Freon to recharge it is $1,100.05

Oh how I feel your pain. I hope things work out in a timely manner that doesn’t break the bank. Good luck!❤️
