I remember getting into “The Doors” big time when I was about that age in the early 80’s. I didn’t dress funny but I tried a lot of weird things!

How does Gracie know about the night light? I don’t recall seeing her at Cruz’ place.

It’s just called Metal, now. And Metallica doesn’t wear earrings or whatever those things on your wrists are.

I’ve been a Metalhead since the late ‘70s and i can tell you first hand that very few of us dressed like Cruz. Yes, we might have A studded wristband (usually only one) and/or the same type of belt, but we normally wore a band’s shirt or a flag shirt (Canada, US, British, and the Rising Sun flags being the most common) and not a plain black shirt.

And don’t get me started on the “dark nature of heavy metal music” bs…

I have long lose hair and always have with two exceptions. I was born bald. When in high school I had my hair cut like Peter Noone (Herman of Herman’s Hermits) – then let it grow out as short hair is too hard to deal with. (Long hair can be worn put up in hair clip – no need to get it professionally cut, just clip across the bottom – no one will see if the hair was evenly cut or not. I put it in a barrette, throw it over the top of my head and snip.
