We used faxes well after e-mail took over in the business world. Partly because many people didn’t have internet service at home yet, partly because it was relatively hard to alter a fax after the fact. We eventually got over it, partly because we were never in the court system.
I faxed a copy of the occupancy permit for my home, that had been printed on pink paper. The City employee didn’t want to accept it because it was on white paper. I politely asked her what color paper was in their fax machine, she said white. I asked her to change the paper to pink and I would resend it. She did. I did. The City was happy.
