The players have a poor reputation around here, jammed the street parking for hours (families couldn’t bring their littles in strollers, all hours playing), pretty rude in general….
There’s the guy who lived near Charlotte Motor Speedway, who complained about the noise level when they built a drag strip. That ship sailed years ago.
Surprised the HOA wouldn’t jump on it – they always like to do anything possible to harass people. The president or the president’s spouse must be a player.
I’m a pickleball player, but I can understand the concern of nearby neighbors. Fortunately, all of the places I play are well-separated from residences.
When the old Austin, TX airport was built, it was pretty much on the edge of or slightly out of town, Then lots of people built houses all around it and then started complaining about the noise. The new airport is at a converted Air Force base out on the edge of where the city has grown now. I say give it about 50 years before the new neighbors complain about the jet noise.

Get rid of your leaf blowers, switch from gas chainsaws and mowers to electric, then we’ll talk about pickle-ball noise.

An HOA passing on a chance to ban something? That doesn’t sound right!

Aaron Rodgers just said that preseason g ames aren’t “real football”
But they ARE when you figure out how much Ben Gay you’ll need to get through the season, especially at HIS age

try Forest Hills,Queens. The old tennis stadium where they used to have the US OPEN has rock and roll concerts in the summer.
And since it’s smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood, some people aren’t happy
