In my mid-twenties I realized I was gluten intolerant and gained about 30 pounds. Now most of that bakery stuff doesn’t even look like food to me anymore. :)
A very fortuitous response. I’m a totally tolerant omnivore, and my grazing habit of nutrition seems to be self-limiting. One of my best memories is my wife getting me five dozen glazed yeast donuts for my 60th birthday. I still wear my high-school prom jacket on special occasions, despite it getting a bit slack from my shrinking with age. No longer truly white though. Both of us rather grayish.
