I seriously doubt that any (normal) kids really ‘like’ them.

Pocket protectors for the win! Though he’s going to need some very deep pockets.

Get the carrying case or the little drawstring bag to keep it clean and then stick it in your pocket or briefcase, messenger bag or backpack.

The only time I remember wearing a Pocket Protector was when I dressed up as a Nerd for Halloween (Yes, I knew it was funny that a Nerd dressed up as a Nerd ☺). I also had uncombed hair, toilet paper trailing from my shoe, white tape wrapped around one side of my glasses, which I was constantly pushing back up on my nose, and my shirt-tail hanging out. As I walked around Campus, I got giggles from female students, and one woman employee took pictures of me. BTW, I really cannot say why I even owned a Pocket Protector, as I never wore it, but I did have one… ☺

I keep mine with my insulated tumbler. I wash it when I wash the tumbler. When I dine out, I use the plastic straw presented by the server. I don’t eat out often so I don’t feel it makes a huge impact… at least not as big as the plastic cup that I am served my drink in.

Won’t work for hot drinks or even something really cold.

Metal straw? Yeah, that’s a big “no” from me…. I had an insulated cup with a metal straw – someone bumped my arm as I was getting ready to sip and nearly broke my front teeth out!
