Nothing new here except recent acceleration of far right movement. The GOP began going weird after Nixon resigned, steadily increased acceleration going that direction during the Reagan administration, and has been all out pedal-to-the-metal since early 2016.
Just here to point out that there’s “quirky weird” and “creepy weird.” And the representatives of the authoritarian movement once known as America’s conservative party are not the quirky kind of weird.
“Weird” is determined almost exclusively by a person’s past life experiences – getting “slapped” by your father for NOT wearing a suit to a college football game with the man (actually happened to Don Jr. in school) is “formative” in many, many ways, most are not immediately evident and is part of the “weird” accumulation that makes up a person’s conception of “weird”…

Stantus hasn’t yet figured out that all “The Weirdness” applies to Traitor Trump and JD Vance, or whatever his name is.

What I find weird is Scott Stantis supporting the sale of US Steel to a foreign company!

Bill Maher makes this same observation about the current state of the Democratic Party.

Weird is the new Woke. Just waiting for people to start using it (or rather RETURNING to using it) as an insult for random things that offends them.

Don’t you just love people who are completely unwilling to talk policy — because the voices from their television tell them what to do instead?
