She could take one at a time and then Darryl will be stuck with babysitting duty.

They’re already taking down the “Back to School” aisles in the grocery store and replacing them with Halloween candy.

Kids do get bored clothes shopping when they are little, and you have to watch them so they don’t run off to the toy aisle as you are trying to pick out stuff for them!

Very happy with our kid’s new school. Their dress code is simple, so we just purchased multiples in his current sizes.

My older daughter’s Godmother took both of my daughters back-to-school shopping every year. She got them everything: notebooks, backpacks, lunchboxes, pens, pencils, first-day outfits, shoes…The only time I did it was, when she first asked for our daughter’s first day of kindergarten, I told her I wanted to do this first one…after that, she could do it. She surprised us by asking to take both of them when the younger one started school. This is a woman whose picture should be in the dictionary next to “mother”, but she never married & never had children.

My parents were friends with a couple who lived next door who had a son. He was quite the character. In the mid 70’s, his mom gave him $100 and instructions to go to the mall and buy his back to school clothes, because in years past they had such a battle with him over what he demanded they buy and what they could afford to buy. Thinking they had solved the matter by letting him buy his own clothes and expecting him to return with several a jacket, jeans, shirts, shoes, etc., they were unhappily surprised when came waltzing in with only 1 shirt and a pair of shoes.

I was in the Army at the time, but the uproar was significant enough my parents wrote to me about it. Apparently, it quite the spectacle.

Wren does not need school supplies, let dad take care of two of the three and less torture, Zoe would be last as she be easy, Hammie should be first more complaining.

Um, this theme is out of order or Wanda is Really behind schedule, as Hammie was just working on a book report so school has already started.

She’d argue with Wren?! Or does Wren just disagree with something because she sees Zoe and Hammie disagree with it?

You don’t need the kids with you to get school supplies. You know their sizes and mostly their preferences, so you don’t really need them there for clothing either. Just go shopping on your own and listen to other parents kids bicker and whine. Oh and get roughly double what school lists say to get because about 5 months into school they’ll be asking for supplies again and there won’t be a sale midyear.

Target? Much better, less expensive and not woke places to shop.

In Texas, kids have already finished their 2nd week of school. The school year really varies in different parts of the country.
