So, with the arts being a significant part of the Olympics even in the ancient games (oratory was one of the categories), I guess breaking fits in better than I originally thought.

Remove the space between “olympics.” and “Com”.

It was called figure skating because they had to trace elaborate deigns onto the ice.

Anything where 3rd parties judge how good or bad a performance is does not qualify as a sport to me. Sure there are those who can do feats that are nearly impossible for an everyday human and are magnificent to watch, but those are still not a sport. You might as well have portrait painting as an event.

My grandma’s cousin won a gold medal in the 1912 Olympics (and ’08 one as well).

Sorry, Grandpa, those were never considered sports, they were always arts. In particular, awards were given to artworks that were based on sports.
