If you accept it Baldo shame on you..

True story. I was delivering on my inner city route about 15 years ago. It was a cold winter day maybe 10° outside. On the screened in porch as I came up to deliver the guy was in shorts and a T-shirt. I walked up and he asked me if I had a cell phone. I said yes. he asked, but you don’t have it on you? I said I have it on me. He said can I make a phone call. I said sure, and I handed him my cell phone. He said I’m locked out of my house.

That’s not a pay phone…

Oh give me a break! Not borrow, but HAVE my cell phone??? Give him your credit cards and social security number why your at it!

Baldo should say “I’ll charge you the same amount it costs me: nothing.”.

Give him back his money, Baldo, and make the call for him.

Ask who he’s calling first, kid…

Used to be able to drop a dime.

Thankfully, about 15-20 years ago, T-Mobile ended the nickel-and-diming of cell phone companies by offering unlimited texting and then calling. Charging people for individual texts was especially greedy, considering SMS contain so little data, it’s basically free.

Perhaps ironically, a lot of homeless people already have their own cell phones nowadays because so many of them actually work for a living

He asked first if he could have his phone. He should have asked him if he could use his phone to call someone and then offer Baldo the 25cents which he would refuse!!

Baldo has such a big heart. Unlike his self-absorbed arrogant prig of a sister.

You know you are talking about the same guy who eats every single empanada, leaving nothing for anyone else??

The guy COULD have said (in yesterday’s ending panel, “May I BORROW your cell phone?” or “Can I USE your phone?” or even “May I have your phone FOR A MINUTE?” But NO-O-O-o-o-o-o…………….
