She definitely didn’t forget. They don’t forget anything.

I’ve posted this before, but it fits here: When my daughter was a teenager at home we had the usual argument about cleaning her room. One day I walk in and asked, “Can I see your phone?” She handed it to me and told her, “You’ll get this back when your room is clean.” She said, “OK you got me this time, but never again!!” I explained, “Sweetheart, I pay the bill.”
