I found movies to be lousy first dates. Happily married now, but in my dating years I prefered a two date combination: one active date (e.g. dancing) and the other a quiet, leisurely dinner and conversation. Following girl’s reasonable suggestions OK too.

When my wife and I had our first date, we saw “The Color of Money”, starring Newman and Cruise. Anything Paul Newman did is all right with me.
