Corporate cancers have become quite adroit at finding such marketing tricks. Subscriptions are all the rage. Recommended reading is the “That Will Never Work” book about NetFlix, but someone needs to write a similar book about Microsoft.

And that’s why I watch the games at home.

Well someone has to make players multimillionaires and team and media owners even more billionaire-y.

I used to keep cable TV around just for the sports package, but at $175/month and the fact the TV rarely came on for any other channels, meant I was only really getting a few hours per month of sports. That’s too much money to just keep throwing down the drain, so I “cut the cord” and never looked back

Or the people that complain about the price of gas while standing in line at Starbucks…

Sometimes the economy goes south. We can complain and blame all we want, but there are times when we have to just tighten our belts and give up a few luxuries for a while. For the average person, sports packages and other streaming services are luxuries, and they’re certainly not necessities.

Marked safe from wasting money on sports programming.

I’d settle for the MLB Channel,except basic cable doesn’t include it
