This is the primary reason workplace romance is discouraged (and discouraging). But where else are you going to get to know people for hours at a time?
I know it’s just a comic, and a darn funny one, but if that is all it takes to destroy your relationship, then it wasn’t much of one to begin with; but… consider the players…
My dad worked as a buyer for Ward’s in the late 50s. A joke among the store managers about the popcorn machine was, “It pays the rent.” He had popcorn in one of his dime stores. I remember how customers reacted to the scent and sound of a fresh batch.
