The coolest/oddest wedding(s) I’d ever been to. My husband was asked to photograph our friend’s wedding. After the wedding, we were approached by the bride & groom, best man (groom’s cousin) and maid-of-honor (bride’s relative) to go with them. We all left the reception (!) and went to a dock. The bride and MOH switched dresses, we got on a boat, and the other couple got married, with the groom & best man, and the bride & MOH switching roles. Then we all returned to the original reception, which now served as a double reception.
In the 1970s, at the UNB computer centre, one of the (mainframe) computer operators got married. The keypunch operators saved the punched out computer card holes for days and dumped them in his car. The heater was still blowing them out 6 months later, despite the car being thoroughly vacuumed. If you don’t understand, look up old computers and keypunches.
Clearly the colorist for the Sunday comic strip is not the same colorist for the dailies. All the outfits have changed color, and Tracey is a brunette and not her regular blonde.

I once heard of a couple from Kansas who decided to have wheat thrown at their wedding. Glad my sister & her husband didn’t try it since she’s from Pennsylvania and he’s from Florida. Her dress would’ve been ruined by oranges or chocolate!

The Willamette Valley in Oregon grows 90% of the world’s grass seed.

Saw a funny cartoon in the Army Times</>:
A soldier is getting married at Fort Lee. Two of his friends, a Marine and a sailor, were invited. Both are unmarried
Bride: I can’t believe I married a man in uniform. Better than marrying an athlete or movie star!
Sailor and Marine give groom envelopes of cash
Groom: Thanks a lot, guys.
Sailor: No problem.
Marine: You are a blessed couple.
Bride: Aww, thanks!
Bride and groom depart for honeymoon. Everyone waves goodbye
Marine & Sailor{thinking in unison}: My bride will be hotter!

Elizabeth is 14 and her figure is developing. Shouldn’t she be wearing a bra? Unless she wants to be a frump, like her mother!

Still no sign of Gordon’s parents—unless they’re passed out somewhere.

Gordon looks like he is definitely not a fan of grass seed whether it be Rye, Bermuda. Zoysia, Bahia, etc……

Personally, liquid rye is my favorite.

Grass seed instead of rice…. great idea for an outdoors on the lawn wedding venue.

So that’s why Tracey is wearing a broad-brimmed hat.

we had birdseed tossed at us when we got married.

I wonder if Gordon is related to the seagull from a couple of Sundays ago?

Sorry to upset all the comments yesterday, but we get to hear Tracey finally speak today! And boy is she polite, giving credit where it is due.

Speaking of grass, does anyone know the best kind of fescue that stays green in the winter and can survive the harsh summer sun without shade?

Our guests tossed birdseed; our venue required it because it’s better for the birds. I found a ridiculous amount of millet in my undergarments later.

I think all the grass seed landed on Gordon, poor guy!

I like how Tracey sensibly chooses an outfit she can use more than once.
