I was wondering what these were supposed to be: Dust Mites – maybe?
Doing a little research, they look a little bit more like Face Mites which may live in the greasiest pores on your skin, eating the grease – and mate on your face while you sleep.
There was a Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal cartoon last year about either reincarnation or resurrection (I forget which) in which a guy was informed that ALL of him would be coming back, including a huge pile of fingernail pairings and dead skin cells. He opted to go back to hell instead.
Sounds like Demodectic mange to me. My now 8 year old dog had it as a one year old in the city shelter. Good food, the right medicine (Bravecto) and adoption into a calm, loving environment cured it in a few weeks.
Look, we’re a walking hotel to so many microscopic creatures living on all parts of our bodies, but they’re so small we can’t see them or feel them, no matter how hard we scrub!! Just relax!! Tardigrades forever!!!

The dust in the house is mainly from dead skin cells.
