There’s a whole Internet of things that are “smart”; which means someone on the other side of the world can access them, because who needs security? I was in IT, dumb appliances are smart.
There are actual newspapers still around? All we get are weekly advertising flyers, and I am fine with that. Newspapers only report bad news. Like Anne Murray sang “I sure could use a little good news today” .. but I am not holding my breath on that one.

“Smartphones” are not really the problem. People who use their phone for dumb stuff were not that smart to begin with. Now get off my lawn.
