When you’re a little kid and grown-ups can pick you up and carry (or toss!) you around at will, it just doesn’t make sense that your little-kid weight could possibly do any damage to furniture built to withstand the weight and impact of being sat on by an awesome, massive, powerful grown-up. But geez, Marm, what’s your excuse?
