The symbol on the block is a Japanese hirigana pronounced ‘gee’. That’s a hard ‘g’.

This came up a bit late today, apparently (sometime after 2:30 or 3:00 AM CDT). It’s very cute; yet no one has mentioned the implicit pun that prompted the vision of the knight in the nightie: “Nighty-night”!
