Holy crap! No hits in 20 GAMES? That’s Terrible! Absolutely embarrassing! If he can’t even get a hit and only can get walked, than that’s an automatic out, which means that the Jellyfish are going to be dealing with an automatic out in every game. Even players who barely know how to play the game should at least be able to get ONE hit against a really bad team, unless somehow magically every team in the league has good infielders and pitchers, which, considering it’s little league, where you don’t even have to try out to get in, is highly unlikely. I thought Chad used to be good at baseball, considering that he won the cream puffs a game one time, and managed to catch an extremely hard hit line drive right at his face. Now, if he’s so bad at hitting, how come he’s good at defense? And 0.98 is a pretty garbage batting average, but that’s only with runners in scoring position, which means that he probably had way more hits when they weren’t, because if he had a bad overall average Francis would have pointed it out. Now, Chad’s batting average could be terrible for the purposes of the strip, but I think having him get no hits is a little extreme.

well, if Nates hit(s) with runners in scoring was a home run, the majors would think that’s just fine and better than a .250 batting with runners in scoring position with all singles.

Sadly there are pro players that would be happy with .098 with RISP.
