Are these things NOT to worry about.The “Father Smiley” and the “Pastor Happy” are more worried about keeping people comfortable than convicting them to turn to the path of righteousness. The pap they offer goes like this: “Don’t worry, there is a reasonable hope that all are saved…don’t worry! Sin, well, it isn’t that bad, just say you believe in Jesus and he is your golden ticket to salvation!”That is sweater vested, pleated khaki pap, a disservice to the sheep they are charged to lead away from sin. There is plenty of room for joy with Jesus but much more to salvation.
Matthew 26 "40 And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch[a] with me one hour? 41 Watch[b] and pray that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
MAtthew 13: "36 Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.” 37 He answered, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of man; 38 the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels. 40 Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. 41 The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, 42 and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
