“Andy’s luck” is the new slang/idiom in town

I had that once on my birthday. Imagine. A terrible thunder storm, lightning hits a local building, the power goes off. We light candles and go to shorts as the water comes over the doorstep of the pub. Sometimes I like impromptu birthday parties.

One of those “it only rains when Andy steps outside” systems.

Andy walks into a bar, Sloshed

Falling in the canal so many times, Andy should be used to getting soaked.

Well, getting rain-soaked might make his falling into the canal easier.

Andy’s going to get wet when he falls in the canal on th way home anyway.

A weather forecast that says rain in England, is usually right

I apologize if this makes me a stereotyping American, but doesn’t it rain all the time there? :→

Looking what the storm blew in!

If one is vague enough, the odds will sooner or later catch up.

Those shoes are making a “Squelch” instead of a “Squish” sound. Must be something peculiar to Hartlepool.

It doesn’t matter. He usually falls in the river anyway.

“Into each man’s life, a little rain must fall” … Andy just didn’t need it to fall all at once!

From now on I’m going to do the EXACT opposite of what I would do!

He’s gonna a real splash, when Jack kicks him out.

That TV is a real nostalgia piece, back when TVs were actually furniture.

Weather people always keep their jobs.

I once went for a walk without my umbrella. It wasn’t long before I could see raindrops falling. Thankfully, I made it back to my house before getting soaked, but I’m never making that mistake again.

Always be prepared. You’ll live better and longer.

Weather broadcasters get “no respect” (Dangerfield’s catchphrase), but the fact is that they just report what they get from on high.

Reminds me of this Golden Oldie:

Once there was a small town where the weatherman was always wrong. He’d predict rain, it would be sunny; if he called for sunshine, it would rain. One day he predicted terrible rainstorms, so the town decided that would be the perfect day for the town picnic. But he was right, and when the picnic got rained out, they were so angry they ran him out of town.
