The heck with the tree; thou shall not lift thy leg to thy neighbor’s leg.

Thou, thee what kind of crazy talk is that? I know it say’s tree but I had to throw it in there.

Also don’t pee against it with all legs on ground

Tell my neighbor’s dogs that!

Commandments. Demands that apply to others but not ourselves.

My female beagle is a marker. I have noticed she is more likely to pee on a neighbor’s yard or tree (she lifts her leg, props it on tree trunks and such) than someone she doesn’t know. I am guessing she feels she is giving them some sort of protection from strange dogs, but who knows the mind of beagles? Maybe she just is announcing that she was there or marking over another dog.

I’m sure all dogs will follow that commandment.

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friend’s nose.
