Since I can’t comment on editorial comics, and I can’t talk directly to GoC, I thought I’d mention an article in the WaPo in the comments of a couple of my favourite editorial comics other comments:
“[W]hen influencers disable comments on their posts, viewers respond negatively. They regard influencers as less likable and are less likely to engage with the products they promote than when influencers leave their comments on, according to the study published in April in the Journal of Marketing.
“Influencers are “so good at making it seem like they’re our friends,” said Freeman Wu, an author of the study and assistant professor of marketing at Vanderbilt. “So when they turn off these comments, it basically shatters that illusion.””
Timeshares are a curse. My stepdad & his first wife (both now deceased) owned one, & mom (whose name was never on the thing) still gets bills for the stupid thing, & the estate hasn’t been able to unload it. Her lawyer says, just keep writing DECEASED on the outside of the envelopes & returning them…
