First it was the pagers. Then it was the walkie-talkies. What’s next, cans on a string?

I tried it with paper cups and a string once. Bad reception

Paper cups are too flexible and absorb the sound energy. Tin cans work better.

Would fishing wire work better than string?

You have to stretch the string very tightly and shout loudly but it does work.

Okay as an accountant and a “domestic engineer” is he putting the beans in something in which they will keep for future use?
