Sister Marie Lawrence: We called her Mary Larry. She was short and wide, like R2D2 with rosary beads. We never saw her shoes … we suspect she moved on wheels!

I never went to Catholic school, but I knew a couple of nuns growing up. They were delightful — smiled often, were kind, loved to make others laugh and feel accepted. I was blown away when I learned about the negative experiences others (seemingly most others) had.
When my son was in grade school, we had a teacher conference were my son’s teacher showed us a picture she confiscated from him. It showed her in full habit but brandishing a katana. It was titled, “Nunja.” She laughed as she showed it to us and said, “It’s really quite good.” i agreed.

All the nuns, no exceptions, at Saint John’s Military Academy. They were ruthless!

I hope she doesn’t vote! Vance said that a teacher who doesn’t have children is “disturbing”.

They normally just hit the boys. I assume it’s because they are little men.
