Well, that blows the theory that Red and Rover actually takes place in Seattle. One time when Red was up a tree, he thought he could see the Saint Louis Gateway Arch, so perhaps they live closer to that city. May 25, 2001.
That explains Brian going from Ohio State to now living in Seattle. BTW, yesterday I received the most thoughtful and gracious post card. It was from a lady that simply mentioned that she enjoyed my shares on the Red and Rover website. On the front of the post card was a steam locomotive. When I was a little boy in the late 60s early 70s my mom would bring us out to NH to visit my grandmother from north of Chicago. My uncle Sterling Bolles would take me to VT to ride on steam trains. So, here I have such a wonderful post card from someone I have never met. On the other hand, I do know that this is a tremendous testimony to Red and Rover community. Also, that the card was from Research Triangle, NC and signed E. A big thanks to E and all of the great people who follow Red and Rover.

It’s been shown that people from the Pacific Northwest don’t tan, they rust!

Most residents of the NW wouldn’t be caught dead using an umbrella.

I use an umbrella if it’s storming. I’m not a big fan of walking around in wet clothes. I guess this started as a letter carrier when I was young.

Wondering about this: When Rover is at Red’s school bus stop he’s off-leash, but he’s usually on-leash when he and Red go for walks.

Red ……. You and Rover don’t have to worry about a few drops of rain ……………. only when they bring a bunch of their friends …………. :)

As an additional benefit we never get lost. Moss is always growing on our North side.
