Then there are those of us with auditory processing deficits, where it requires extra cycles to compile what we heard. We need that extra time, so please wait patiently at the input/output window.

It depends on what is heard. Farts, for example.

Somewhat akin to reading the instructions before proceeding.

But where is the challenge to it, then?

On one of my FB camping groups, members will ask the same question that’s already been discussed over and over again. Others are trying to encourage them to use the search feature to find their questions first, but it doesn’t seem to work.

The upside of being older, having a hearing discrimination problem, and living in a foreign country is that I am forced to listen more closely to what others say. It makes me appear much more intelligent than I am.

…I am not woke enough to listen…

    …nor awake enough to care…

…it’s always blah blah blah blah blah…

    HELLO!

    …are you hearing what I’m telling you?….

    …well…

    …your lips move but I can’t hear what you’re saying…

    … Yakety Yak don’t talk back…

…in one ear and out the other…

…I’m just a weed blowing in the wind…

It’s true. Most conversations feature quite a bit of repetition.

Well, as the saying goes… over sixty percent of communication is miscommunication. I have to repeat things to myself all the time.
