Dear Cartoonist, I am 80, and I have lived to see the end of innocence in America, and the flag ripped off our phony facade. So far, I have dealt with it by taking the philosophical approach of inevitable dust to dust fatality of everything, no matter if beautiful or unique or good. And so I have taken to losing myself in a fantasy world where I live in a surreal place where there are only a handful of survivors existing on bananas and mangos and human flesh. WTF next? A new Hitler? Remember, we are being destroyed by a human instinct- “To blindly follow a leader” which was necessary throughout our tribal history, but occasionally genocidal to all when the leader is a psychopath.
