It’s the “white coat” syndrome from television. They used to put the actor in a white coat to sell medicines. It was decades before the FCC made them use the disclaimer “I’m not a doctor, but I play one”. And it was far too late. Everyone on TV looked smarter, younger and richer than the viewers.
