What is this “TV” of which you speak?

People growing up with many siblings often avoid that distraction, or else they would never have gotten their homework done.

Isn’t that a symptom of adult autism?

I didn’t think true pluggers weld with this “texting” malarkey, the phone is for speaking on.

If a text requires much more than a short sentence, I’ll reply with an email. My two stubby forefingers can negotiate a keyboard a lot faster than they can fat-finger a cellphone.

Or turn off their hearing aids. Me, I’ve always been able to tune things out mentally.

With the volume increase of commercials (which is supposed to be illegal accoring to the FCC) It definitely causes a racket.

The TV is upstairs and past the laundry room. I have no idea if it still works.

Try doing talk to text with the TV on. You won’t belive the gibberish you end up sending.

Yup. My daughter laughs at my driving, because when it gets snaky and I have to pay attention due to traffic/route/road conditions, I have to turn down the radio.

It would drive me crazy trying to talk to my mother on the phone. Although she had hearing difficulties, she would never turn down the television, which I could hear in the background. It’s exhausting to repeat every third word when someone is not bothering to help the situation.
