They clearly need a patrol cat. Oh, yes, some cats catch rabbits. I heard mine meowing for ten minutes before she figured out how to get a dead rabbit over the seven-foot fence. She did it, because she really wanted me to see her catch. However, she decided it wasn’t worth the effort and I have not seen a rabbit since.

My mother raised a garden every summer of her adult life. When she spotted a rabbit nibbling on her lettuce, Dad offered to trap and kill it. Mom was too tenderhearted and replied that there was enough for the rabbit and us too.
