    I hate getting that response, especially when it’s followed by “Please try your call again, thank you, goodbye.” That seriously irks me.

    With some companies I’ve dealt with recently, I’ve been able to leave my number and get a call back from a representative when one is available. Beats waiting on hold for an extended period and then eventually getting disconnected.
