Born and raised near downtown Los Angeles in 40s/50s. No AC whatever. None in school. None in the library. None in the stores. Only a rare movie theater downtown might have AC. Once Dad had work in Palmdale. Again, no air. How did we ever survive?

Do you remember when the Bundy Family moved to the Frozen Food Section of the Supermarket? (Married with Children)

Love how they cut a hole in the window. Usually you prop the window up, put the AC unit in and block off the rest of the opening with wood or cardboard

Building management? The company that actually occupies the premises? Whatever genius is responsible for this is not someone I’d want to do business with.

That window unit is either installed wrong or wired wrong; the dripping of condensation is supposed to be on the outside.

We thought about going ductless, but then we realized we didn’t have ant ducks to get rid of.

First off, this is hilarious. That being said, I helped out during the final years of an in-law’s HVAC company that specialized in window units, and seeing one stuck right in the middle of the pane causes strong feelings of anxiety. Whether or not that was intentional, I say good job to the artist for making it the worst possible installation!
