I had a friend who was in his late 80s. He had a very slow growing cancer that his doctor had told him years before not to worry about. Towards the end the doctor started getting concerned about the cancer. My friend said “you told me not to worry about it, that it wouldn’t kill me.” The doctor replied “I didn’t know you were going to live this long.” He was a funny guy, and the cancer isn’t what killed him in the end.

Way back, Sears introduced a “Lifetime” battery. My father got it replaced at six years and again in another five. The second replacement was a 72-month battery, no more “Lifetime” batteries.

Better than I expected. I thought he was going to say, “I never thought YOU would last six more months.”

Standardized batteries that can be removed and replaced at battery exchange stations (converted gas stations) in 5 minutes would end range anxiety and help the transition. Customers pay for how much charge they used as recorded by car’s computer. They own the car but “rent” the battery between exchanges. A Chinese company already does this.

If the battery he sold you only lasted 6 months, there’s a problem…

Don’t underestimate the ability of a DeSoto to keep on living.

The Arizona heat kills batteries pretty quickly, even a 5 year warranty battery will rarely make it past 4 if it even makes it there, I know so, I’ve been here since 2009. The best battery for the money that lasts is Interstate and If you have a Costco account, the Costco battery is an Interstate, same manufacturer. You’re welcome.
