I’d be alright with giving a kid a small cup of coffee with breakfast in the morning but only that much, no more the rest of the day. It sure helps me wake up and as long as it wasn’t much it should be ok for the kid.
Can Red have tea? Hot black tea has caffeine, too, but less than coffee has. I starting trying to drink coffee when I was in middle school. 11 or 12 yrs. old.
When my siblings and I were young and living at home, my dad always made tea and toast for us in the mornings. I didn’t start drinking coffee seriously until years later when my daughter, who worked part-time in a coffee shop, sent me a coffee grinder and beans—now I rarely drink tea!
As a kid, I liked the smell of coffee, but not the taste. Cream and sugar didn’t help.Somehow, I made it to adulthood. I still don’t like the taste but, I enjoy the caffeine and the hotness.
Went to Ireland earlier this year and had several Irish coffees from pubs to restaurants to places that actually demonstrated how to make it. It was all mediocre compared to the real Irish coffee at the Buena Vista in San Francisco
I had a friend who was a bartender. When the gang dropped in on him he made my coffee in an Irish Coffee cup and added a squirt of whipped cream. He knew I didn’t drink but he helped me blend in. Excellent coffee too.

Soda pops also contain caffeine.

I was told the same thing. I didn’t drink coffee until I was working on my Masters and was desperate.
