He’s like the kitten who thinks you can’t see him though his backside is sticking out.

You see a shadow, a wisp, an idea of a stealthy (and fancy) cat. You do not see the Mittens unless the Mittens chooses to be seen.

Or his tail is sticking out from behind the fern.

Is a “fake fern” anything like a faux ficus ?

He’s trying to use the Jedi mind trick on her.

My cats hide behind the curtains to lurk on the windowsills.

Hiding in plain sight

My Blackjack just likes to be under things. I was trying to cut some fabric the other day and even though he knows where he’s supposed to sit (On one arm of my sewing cabinet) I guess my pile of fabric was just too tempting and he nosed his way under it. I gave up, threw a piece of scrap fabric over him and left. I figured I would cut and sew later.

I have had several cats who amused themselves by stalking me about the house, usually when they were hungry. It really makes you stop and think.
