Yesterday, I admired her honesty for not reading the note the teacher wrote to her grandma. Now she has disappointed me by reading it before giving it to her grandma and now it has been destroyed by a green drink tgat turned red when it hit the letter. What are friends for, huh!!! Her grandma would have been so proud if she had bern able to read the letter.
Can’t condone her opening the letter, but at worst she can tell Grandma that the envelope was sealed before Trout’s drink spilled on it. (No, I don’t condone that either, but sometimes, kids get scared and do dumb things.) However, I’d like to see the entire letter. The short passage in panel two is likely part of a longer sentence, to wit: “Agnes displays impeccable honesty and unflagging commitment to truth at any cost — at least as her askew view of the world sees those things.”

The colorist must be colorblind or didn’t read the cartoon once again, so green is now colored brown in their cartoon world. Hahaha!
