For years I had assumed he really HAD been rescued from a well:
“The catch phrase “Timmy’s in the Well!” (in response to a dog barking) was used by Jon Provost as the title of his autobiography. He points out that Timmy fell into abandoned mine shafts, off cliffs, into rivers, lakes and quicksand, but never fell into a well.”

FerAd, male collies have a fuller frill (the hair around their neck),thus looking more like the prototypical collie dog . We have seven rescued collie dogs and find the female are probably a little more intelligent than the males .
And being herding dogs,they do like to bark at things!
