@Susan001, I carry a heavy backpack (and bike to work). To convert the stooped posture to upper body muscles, I use it as a weight when walking, standing in line, or otherwise waiting around. Just do curls, lifts with arm extended, lifts from over shoulder, etc. Both sides, of course. Don’t worry, girls don’t get unfeminine muscles without hormone supplements, and Wonder Woman muscles are sexy.
My chiropractor told me off for carrying a heavy purse. He said it can cause all sorts of back problems with the weight on one side only. I still have my purse, but I usually leave it locked up in my car while I carry one of those “smart clips” in my pocket.

Advice: Put your heavy bag in the trunk of your car and close/lock so no one will steal your bag. Do not leave anything that are valuable in the car.
