The other day my husband showed me a video of a golfer. I don’t play, but from his friend’s words I guess he did a great job on the third hole and was happy. That is until his friend informed him they were on the FOURTH hole. He asked the guy what was he looking at. They had just played that hole. I though the first guy was going to throw his club in the pond next to him. I will never understand that trope. “I am ticked off, so I am going to throw away (or break) something that is going to cost me a lot of money to replace.” Thankfully the guy just walked it off.

My thoughts exactly. Rough needs taking care of too. Which is why you see so little of it on some public courses.

There is no rule in golf that says you have to play in the designated fairway for a particular hole. Rarely, it is a tactical advantage.
