Brock is a Purdy good guy.

It is tough, y’know, with me and my old salad days that I left by the woody creek just the other day. I was fishing for some tough trout when the storm sank my boat and I was left a-floating and in a darn crank for some of ma’s tomato soup, but I was broke and out of luck, and there was no cabin nearby for me to recollect the sanity I had left off-shore. There was no way I was going to start a fur trade company in the middle of this Lawrence, because the ground is too muddy and the creek too deep. I could stand two-feet below the surface, and I would already feel the white crest tip me over the edge, and how I wished it were calmer waters, for I would pray it were so but with nothing to spare. All I could do was twiddle my thumbs and hope for the best. It never came. I decided to give up for a bit and travel east-to-west searching for a companion with enough substance to take me off my vanity and into new waters. So there I was at a poker shack, pitching the idea to the people who were visibly too tired for the roaring winta season that will arrive in a matter of weeks. They said they were ice fishers, but I didn’t give them any word because I knew they were a-lyin’, and a-lyin’ they were to get me to stop and pitch somewhere else, and I knew they weren’t givin’ no second chances. The ice hadn’t formed here anyway, and who were they to walk some three-hundred miles north of here to spot some frail tilapia on that salad creek, and plus, I had been there and left as soon as I saw what I was workin’ with. But once I made my way out the shack door, I gave them my signature look to show em’ I wasn’t done here. Even when I didn’t show them my fiery temper they knew I had the spirit the size of a whale.

Honestly, that’s the best anyone can say.
