My garden is still up and at it. My tomato plants are still covered and getting ten to twelve ripe tomatoes each day. My potatoes are going to be ready and my second crop of sweet corn is ready.
I’m not much of a green thumb, but my landlord just planed all of his winter veggies last week. Things like lettuce grow great when it isn’t crazy hot, and in LA, it just fine for them in the winter, since it doesn’t freeze here.

My garden isn’t ready to rest quite yet. I still haven’t harvested my carrots. (I will this weekend.)

When the season does finally end it is nice to take the winter off, do some reading or puzzles and yes…start it all over again in April!!

I need to tear out my garden. Asparagus needs to wait to be cut back to ground level until after the first freeze.

And EVERY gardener here gets one more batch of zucchini, whether they planted it or not!

Is it just me, or did Charlie escape the Giant Rabbit Scourge this summer?
